golden sandy beaches, this charming property stands
in its own large garden and enjoys superb
countryside views to the rear. Furnished and
decorated with flair, it is extremely well equipped
and boasts many fine features, including a
delightful conservatory and a small secluded first
floor balcony affording views over the terraced
garden and countryside beyond. Located close to a
main road, Oeston Park is just a short walk from
Bude town centre and all its amenities. It is set
adjacent to Oeston Park Cottage, which can be
accessed if required via a walkway (normally kept
locked), allowing the two holiday properties to be
booked together for larger family gatherings.
This part of the coast is very popular with
watersports enthusiasts, and those craving lovely
beaches and a classic Cornish seaside holiday.
In addition to lovely coastal walks, there is horse
riding and a golf course nearby, with
fishing, boating and canoeing available on the
nearby waterway. Bude is a fine resort and the main
centre for surfing, with good sandy beaches, rock
pools and a tidal swimming pool. Once a busy port,
it stages an annual jazz festival and has numerous
good pubs and restaurants. Widemouth Bay is only 3
miles further down the coast and has a Blue Flag
beach. The Splash leisure centre, with indoor
swimming pool and ten-pin bowling alley, is within a
couple of minutes. Shops 200 yards.

1870, is ideally situated in the small, quiet and
beautiful hamlet of West Pentire. There is no
through access elsewhere by car. It is 2-3 minutes’
walk to the headland. Because of careful management
by the NT, there is a profusion of flowers and
birds, including larks, in season. The sandy Porth
Joke Beach and Crantock Beach are within a few
minutes’ walk from the house, though at high tide
access to Crantock Beach is through the dunes and
takes a few minutes longer. Both are ideal for
children as well as surfers. For miles of
coastal walks join the Coastal Path here.
Further afield there are numerous opportunities to
explore - Newquay, including Fistral beach (5
miles), Padstow, Truro, Penzance, the Eden Project,
the National Maritime Museum in Falmouth, famous
houses and gardens. There are countless attractions
for children. Pub 2 minutes’ walk.
