hideaway of Cornish cottages, each with its
own character, a delightful combination of
stone, slate and exposed beams, nestling in
a peaceful hollow of 45 acres on the fringes
of Bodmin Moor.
Surrounded by rolling countryside, this
tranquil setting offers an escape from the
pressures of everyday life, where nature
thrives. Magnificent birds of prey can be
seen swooping down the valley, and nestling
swallows can also be spotted. Ewes and lambs
gambol in the surrounding fields. A babbling
brook meanders through the grounds and into
the pretty copse. It continues through a
picturesque valley of blossoming gorse and
stone outcrops.
Take a stroll along the unspoilt nature walk
where all you are likely to hear are
kestrels and skylarks. Half a mile down
stream, you will find Ta Mill's large
wildlife pond, with a footpath leading to St
Clether Chapel and its ancient Holy well,
considered to be the most beautifully
situated of all shrines in Cornwall.
Ideal for touring Devon and Cornwall, Ta
Mill is within 7 miles of the dramatic
Heritage coastline of north Cornwall.
Explore hidden coves and pretty fishing
villages including Port Isaac and Padstow.

Bennetts Court Cottages form part of
an old country estate located in a
spectacular setting with extensive rural and
sea views. There are 5 cottages converted
from stone and cob barns, set in 11 acres at
the end of a private tree lined drive, on
the outskirts of Whitstone. The swimming
pool is within an enclosed stone walled
courtyard and is open and heated from mid
May to September (30ft x 15ft, 2ft 3in to
3.8ft depth). The children will enjoy the
table tennis barn, playground with swings,
slides and climbing frames, play barn and a
field to play ball games and fly kites.
There are numerous activities within the
area to appeal to all age groups and
interests. Beautiful sandy beaches provide
excellent surf for body boarding and
surfing. The South West Coastal Path and
Camel Trail provides access to spectacular
scenery for the coastal and rural walker and
cyclist. There are many houses and gardens
of historical interest to visit nearby.
Sailing, windsurfing and canoeing are
available at the Tamar Lakes. Sea, lake and
canal fishing, horse riding establishments
and golf courses are all within the area.
The cottages are furnished and equipped to a
good standard and provide an ideal base
throughout the year for holidays or long
weekend breaks.

countryside towards Dartmoor yet just a
short drive to North Cornwall's stunning

grounds to the cottages. All are presented

orchard with children's play area is the
perfect spot for a picnic. North Tamerton
sits on the Cornwall/Devon border
overlooking the upper reaches of the Tamar,

It has often been said that
Rosecraddoc Manor must be the nearest thing
to paradise. This superb manor house and
former coach house stand in 38 acres of
beautiful grounds and woodlands, set around
a lovely lake, stocked with carp, roach and
bream. The manor was built in the 1820s on
the site of a much older house mentioned in
the Domesday Book. It is Grade II listed,
along with two bridges in the grounds, and
has now been converted into these attractive
apartments and villas, making a perfect base
for your Cornish holiday.
On
site you can fish in the lake (bring own
fishing licence, barbless hooks and landing
nets must be used, please) or play tennis on
the all weather court (smooth soled tennis
shoes to be worn, not squash shoes; please
bring your own racquets and tennis balls).
If
you can bear to leave this beautiful spot,
just 21/2 miles away in Liskeard there is a
superb leisure complex, where you can enjoy
squash, badminton, gym, indoor bowls and
indoor leisure pools, which include a
children's pool and flume, as well as the
main pool. Within 4 miles you can explore
Bodmin Moor, where you can go riding,
walking or even try water sports on
Sibleyback Lake - wind surfing, dinghy
sailing and canoeing are available. To the
south, lovely sandy beaches and pretty
fishing harbours lie along the coast.
Several excellent golf courses can also be
found in the area; and the Eden Project is
only 20 miles away.
The
Manor and the Coach House have been
tastefully and sympathetically restored to
please the most discerning guest. Some of
the villas are suitable for guests with
disabilities. Access to the front door of
the Manor is by 3 stone steps. Whichever you
choose you will find it immaculately clean,
with freshly laundered linen and tea towels.
Please bring your own towels. Cot linen is
not supplied. Cornwall is well known for its
mild climate, but at Rosecraddoc Manor, even
if it is cold outside, your accommodation
will be warm and welcoming, and with your
own sauna and Jacuzzi or spa bath (depending
upon your accommodation) you can go home
completely relaxed.
There are several pubs locally, and a
leisurely stroll to the foot of the drive
and across the road leads to a licensed bar
and restaurant. The Village Inn, serving a
wide range of alcoholic and non alcoholic
beverages, has an extensive menu including
children's meals. It also hosts a large TV
screen, barbecues, patio area, pool room and
children's games, with live entertainment,
quiz nights and karaoke held regularly

Set in a quiet wooded valley and
divided by the River Seaton that flows from
high up on the moor and down through the
beautiful grounds of Rosecraddoc, this is an
ideal location to tour the whole of
Cornwall, South Devon and Dartmoor.
South East Cornwall
has some of the best and most varied
countryside in the whole of the south west
of England from the mists of Bodmin Moor,
the creeks and valleys of the rivers to the
secluded coves, sandy beaches and rocky
outcrops of the coastline in the south. A 15
minute drive will take you to the
spectacular South Cornwall Coastline and the
famous fishing town of Looe.
Just along the coast
from Looe, nestles the tiny fishing village
of Polperro with its busy harbour and narrow
streets. There is a dense network of public
footpaths which pass through some of the
most scenic countryside in the district, one
of which leads directly from the village.
The maritime city of Plymouth is just 18
miles and is home to the award winning
National Marine Aquarium. Our mild winters
ensure that many plants are able to thrive
in Cornwall and with this, the Lost Gardens
of Heligan and the Eden Project are both
within 25 miles.
There are many
wonderful historic houses to visit close by
including Cotehele, Lanhydrock and Antony.
Golf courses within 20 miles include the
'course that Jack built' at St Mellion, Looe
Bindown and Lanhydrock. The market town of
Liskeard sports a leisure centre with
swimming pool, squash, indoor bowling,
badminton and fitness suite. From here you
can take the lovely branch line which runs
down to Looe through the wooded East Looe
Valley.
Nearby Siblyback Lake
offers windsurfing, dinghy sailing, canoeing
and fishing. Mount Edgecumb Park with its
800 acres of parkland located on the Tamar
estuary is also well worth a visit. There is
an onsite bar and restaurant, The Village
Inn, serving a wide range of alcoholic and
non alcoholic beverages, has an extensive
menu including children's meals. It also
hosts a large TV screen, barbecues, patio
area, pool room and children's games, with

Nestling in the
beautiful Tamar Valley, close to the Devon
border, these delightful stone barn
conversions have been completely renovated
to provide very good accommodation.
Set within an equestrian
centre, approved by the British Horse
Society, riding lessons are available by
qualified British Horse Society approved
staff - ranging from complete beginners to
advanced, and your own horses are also most
welcome. There is a pleasant hacking as well
as an all weather floodlit arena, show
jumping and cross country course for
beginners to experienced riders. Ideal for
all horse lovers, St Leonards certainly is a
holiday base with a difference, situated in
a wooded valley, it provides for a
comfortable and relaxing holiday.
Set in a secluded
suntrap on the edge of a courtyard and
surrounded by 6-acres of grounds which is
also home to a acre coarse fishing lake.
There is plenty of birdlife here including
kingfishers, awaken to the sound of the dawn
chorus! There is much to see here to suit
all tastes, and it is an ideal location for
touring the north and south coasts. Whether
you wish to wander amidst wildlife, go
fishing on the River Kensey close by, or
take part in a game of paint ball (available
on site), there are plenty to get out and
about and feel invigorated by the fresh
Cornish air. Whatever the season and however
you wish to fill your time, the cottages
have been very comfortably furnished and
equipped, featuring solid pine throughout
and woodburners, to make them a welcome home
to come back to.
Whilst there are a
wealth of distractions available on site,
the surrounding area is also a delight to
explore. There is an archaelogical site
nearby which was featured on TVs ''Time
Team'' programme. Go west to the Widemouth
Heritage Coast and visit mystical Tintagel
and Port Isaac Bay, or head east towards
Dartmoor''s wilderness; whichever direction
you travel in there is sure to be something
new to see. Launceston, 2 miles, once the
ancient capital of Cornwall, has shops, a
steam railway, castle, golf and an indoor
leisure centre. A variety of golf courses
locally. A splendid family location with
something for everyone, all guests will be
well placed for touring both Devon and
Cornwall. Launceston for all amenities, 11/2

of National Trust properties all close by

Launceston Castle and the Victorian mining
village of Morwellham Quay, which is well

the Tamar River, golf at St. Mellion;
fishing, sailing and windsurfing at
Sibleyback Lake, Dobwalls Adventure Park and
the Donkey Park which is just a short walk
away. The picturesque fishing villages of

and the famous Eden Project approximately 30
miles.
Alternatively relax
within the grounds of Honicombe or go for a
swim in the outdoor heated pool. There is
also the large indoor pool with learners and
toddlers pool. There are two all weather
tennis courts (equipment is available to
hire), or for a more invigorating work out,
try the new fitness centre. There is a
relaxing sauna and sun bed (coin operated).
Perhaps unwind with a drink in the bar or
enjoy a meal in the conservatory restaurant,
or try a tasty snack from the varied menu. A

This cluster of comfortable
bungalows is set in peaceful surroundings
close to Sennen Cove and the spectacular
coastal scenery around Land's End. Ideal for
families, couples and groups alike. Sennen
Holiday Bungalows are home to a range of
excellent facilities, including an outdoor
heated swimming pool (open May to mid
Sept),and a tennis court.
A mile away is
Sennen's beautiful Blue Flag sandy beach and
locally there is surfing, rock climbing,
bird-watching and breathtaking coastal walks
to enjoy. Land's End, Britain's most
westerly point, attracts thousands of
visitors each year, though it's often easy
to escape the crowds, and guests will never
be short of places to go or things to see
here.
However you wish to
spend your time, on site or off, most tastes
are catered for. On Sennen Cove beach you
can arrange surf board hire for those who
want to catch a wave, or bicycle hire at
Penzance for those who want to leave their
cars behind. Play a round of golf, at St
Just, 5 miles. Horse riding locally. Or,
visit the Minack open-air theatre at
Porthcurno, just ten minutes' drive away.
Possibilities for excursions either along
the coast or further inland abound here.
For days out,
picturesque Mousehole and the Chysauster
Ancient Village, which at 2,000 years old
features the oldest known village street in
England, and the art galleries at Newlyn and
St Ives, all easily reached. See the Levant
Steam Engine (NT) or wander amidst the
Trengwainton Garden (NT), or admire the
scattered remains of Neolithic tombs and the
more recent ruined 19th-century mines.
Penzance, terminus of the old Great Western
Railway and a bustling shopping and
holidaying centre, with a choice of pubs and
restaurants, 9 miles, and St Michael's Mount
(NT) is just across the bay.
Further afield, The
Lizard Heritage Coast, the Goonhilly Downs,
the Poldark Mine and Falmouth are all well
worth visiting. With glorious sunsets, and
some of Cornwall's best beaches close by,
whichever property you choose from the
detached, 2 semi-detached and 3 terraced
bungalows, it will make a wonderful holiday
base.

Most weekly bookings run from Saturday
to Saturday, unless the property indicates
otherwise. Where accepted, 2 night
breaks start on a Friday or Saturday, 3 night
breaks on a Friday and 4 night midweek breaks

made within 28 days of the public holiday.
