Avilion
has magnificent sea views and is situated in
an elevated position overlooking two sandy
coves in the village of Trearddur Bay. Built
in 1912 and based on a French château, it is
Grade II listed and known locally as
‘Pepperpots’ due to the two turrets at the
front of the holiday property. Standing
detached and set in 1¾ acres of terraced
gardens and large lawns, it also has
separate access to the boat house in the
garden where there is a sauna, shower room
and games room. The cove in front of the
holiday property has a great beach and is
just a short walk from a Blue Flag beach.
Sailing is a very popular activity in the
area and Trearddur Bay holds an annual
regatta in August.
There are
however many other activities in the area.
The diving shop is just around the corner
from the property as well as 9- and 18-hole
golf courses locally. Completed in early
2006 the coastal path around Anglesey winds
right around the island and there are riding
stables close by. Further places of interest
to visit include the National Trust property
of Plas Newydd, Mount Snowdon, only about 35
miles from Trearddur Bay and Beaumaris with
its castle and restaurants. Rhosneigr has
some very large beaches which hold some of
the windsurfing and kite surfing
championships. Shops 500 yards, pub ¼ mile.

road that takes you to the lighthouse at

Rhosneigr. With easy access to the Isle of

Foel Farm Park and Anglesey Sea Zoo are a
short distance away, whilst James Pringle
Weavers and the National Trust’s Plas Newydd

are within easy reach. Snowdonia National
Park is about 30 minutes drive away, giving
access to wonderful mountain walks. For
