In an
elevated position, just half a mile from
golden sandy beaches, this charming property
stands in its own large garden and enjoys
superb countryside views to the rear.
Furnished and decorated with flair, it is
extremely well equipped and boasts many fine
features, including a delightful
conservatory and a small secluded first
floor balcony affording views over the
terraced garden and countryside beyond.
Located
close to a main road, Oeston Park is just a
short walk from Bude town centre and all its
amenities. It is set adjacent to Oeston Park
Cottage, which can be accessed if required
via a walkway (normally kept locked),
allowing the two holiday properties to be
booked together for larger family
gatherings. This part of the coast is
very popular with watersports enthusiasts,
and those craving lovely beaches and a
classic Cornish seaside holiday. In addition
to lovely coastal walks, there is horse
riding and a golf course nearby, with
fishing, boating and canoeing available on
the nearby waterway.
Bude is a
fine resort and the main centre for surfing,
with good sandy beaches, rock pools and a
tidal swimming-pool. Once a busy port, it
stages an annual jazz festival and has
numerous good pubs and restaurants.
Widemouth Bay is only 3 miles further down
the coast and has a Blue Flag beach. The
Splash leisure centre, with indoor
swimming-pool and newly constructed ten-pin
bowling alley, is within a couple of
minutes.

Bedruthen steps which are all within easy
reach. Hendra Cottage is close to Cornwall’s
surfing capital Newquay, and the Eden

through some of Cornwall’s beautiful
gardens, such as Heligan, Trebah and

St Merryn

days’. In addition to these sandy beaches,
Padstow is just a short drive away with its
picturesque harbour, shops and restaurants.
Take a ferry trip across the estuary to
Rock, or explore the Camel Trail by foot or
bicycle (cycle hire available locally). The
beautiful bay at Watergate is within easy
reach, home to the Extreme Sports Academy
and Jamie Oliver’s restaurant. The
championship golf course at Trevose is
approximately 2 miles away, and for walkers
the coastal footpath is just 3 miles.

close by include The Eden Project, The Lost Gardens
of Heligan and unspoilt Bodmin Moor as well as
Newquay with its zoo and world famous surfing beach

base for exploring both Devon and Cornwall, with
many secluded coves, quaint fishing villages and
towns rich in history and legend within easy driving
distance.
There are numerous
NT properties in the area, as well as the RHS
Gardens at Rosemoor and Docton Mill. Hartland Abbey
is well worth a visit, as is picturesque Clovelly,
with its quaint cobbled streets and harbour. For
