mountains of Snowdonia, with wonderful
opportunities for walking, climbing and just
enjoying the spectacular scenery. Ffestiniog
narrow-gauge railway, slate mines, riding,
golf, fishing, bird watching all within easy
reach. We often see buzzards from the
farmyard, and magical sunsets over Yr Eifl
hillfort.

famous marble church and Rhuddlan nearby.
Visit the Tweedmill factory outlet, plus the
seaside resorts along the coast, within easy
driving distance, as is Wales’ largest
mountain – Snowdon. Shops 11/2

Near to many
good beaches
A large stone
built, detached farmhouse is set in a
prominent position on the Lleyn Peninsula
with its own large garden. The property has
been refurbished to provide a very good
standard of holiday accommodation, ideal for
families or groups wishing to holiday
together. The Lleyn and surrounding areas
offer some of Wales’ most dramatic coastal
scenery – much of which is National Trust
maintained.
The rugged
cliffs offer superb birdwatching and rare
chough, peregrine and colonies of auks can
be seen. Sandy beaches are plentiful
including Criccieth, Pwllhelli, Porth Neigwl
and probably the most talked about in the
vicinity - Whistling Sands near the foot of
the peninsula. Criccieth Castle, perched on
a rocky peninsula above the town, is one of
Wales’ most photographed castles. Bardsey
Island is a former site of religious
pilgrimage, and plays host to some great
watersports (mainly surfing or sailing).
Also popular
for watersports is Abersoch. Popular
excursions include day trips to Portmeirion,
and a steam train ride through the valley
from Porthmadog. Glaslyn for go-karting and
outdoor pursuits, and horse riding on the
beach at Criccieth.
