from the sandy beach
Refurbished and renovated to a very good
standard this deceptively spacious terraced
holiday cottage is full of charm and
character with a private patio and small
stream and is just minutes from the sandy
beach of Pentewan and inner harbour. There
are wonderful cliff walks to pretty quiet
coves such as Ropehaven Cliff, Blackhead and
Porthpen. The fishing village of
Mevagissey, with its narrow streets and
bustling harbour is just 2 miles whilst the
market town of St Austell, the centre of the
china-clay industry, and the port of
Charlestown dating back to the 18th century
with its shipwreck centre is approximately 8
miles. There are many activities in the
surrounding area including fishing, sailing,
golf and riding, not forgetting the famous
Eden Project, Lost Gardens of Heligan and
several National Trust properties. Shop and
pub 100 yards.

from the sandy beaches of Perhaver and
Gorran Haven. Many original features remain
including exposed beams, large Inglenook and

Perfectly situated to
enjoy the benefits of Cornwall, these
converted clay drying buildings provide an
ideal base to explore the countryside. The
properties were once used as a clay drying
facility and are part of the rich China Clay
heritage of Cornwall. The Chimney House
still boasts the original chimney as a
feature in the lounge which has cleverly
been turned into the fireplace. Cycling and
walking on the official ’Clay Trails’ within
the area are a must, on which you can
explore the area and even reach the world
famous Eden Project. St Austell with its
leisure centre is approx 5 miles as is the
village of Charlestown, home to ’tall ships’
and a ship wreck heritage museum that houses
artefacts from the Titanic. The fishing
village of Padstow is easily acessible.
Newquay, with its excellent surfing beaches
is approximately 12 miles away, and close by
is Jamie Oliver’s restaurant, ’Fifteen’. The
ancient fishing port of Fowey is within 10
miles and was the home to ’Daphne Du
Maurier’; it has many events throughout the
year such as the Du Maurier Festival and the
Fowey Royal Reggatta. Bodmin Moor is also
close by and provides an exellent location
for horse riding, walking and mountain
biking. The Lost Gardens of Heligan,
Lanhydrock House and Creally Adventure Park
are all within an easy drive. Shop, pub and
restaurant 1 mile.
