on one side by the River Lednock, and on the
edge of the very popular village of Comrie.
Very tastefully appointed for gracious easy
living, the house boasts a wealth of modern

large country home ideal for relaxing and
entertaining. Comrie, the gateway to the
Highlands, nestles in the vale of Strathearn
amidst spectacular scenery in an area of
great natural beauty.
The
village, which can be dated back to Roman
times, has had a long and varied history and
the surrounding area is rich in historical
points of interest. Centrally located for
exploring this wonderful region, there is
much to enjoy with good walks from the
doorstep. Auchingarrich wildlife park and
historic Dunblane, or further afield the
dramatic scenery of the Trossachs, are all
easily reached.
The world
famous Gleneagles is just 12 miles for
excellent golf as well as numerous other
courses in the vicinity including Comrie
itself. Watersports can be enjoyed on Loch
Earn and shooting is available by
arrangement.
The county
town of Perth is only 25 miles with an
extensive range of shopping and leisure
facilities and the village provides a good
selection of shops and eating places all
within walking distance of the holiday home.

The famous
Gleneagles with its golf courses and other
outstanding sporting facilities is a short
drive away with many other golf courses in
the surrounding area including in Muthill
itself. Superb walking, angling and cycling
are all readily available or for a more
leisurely break visit some of the many
castles and stately homes in the area.
Drummond Castle (3 miles), for example,
features a superb Italianate Garden. The
bustling market town of Crieff offers plenty
of shopping and eating out as well as a good
variety of leisure facilities including
Crieff Hydro where there is a swimming pool
and health suite. For the children there
is the nearby Ceramic Experience,
Auchingarroch Wildlife Centre and Crieff
Park with tennis courts and trampolining
facilities. Twenty minutes away by car in
one direction there is Stirling with its
famous castle, Blair Drummond Safari Park,
shopping, bowling and new cinema complex.
Twenty minutes in the other direction we
have Perth by the River Tay which offers
Noah’s Ark soft play complex with indoor
karting, golf driving range, ceramics, ten
pin bowling and trampolining, as well as
Perth Leisure Centre, bowling, ice rink,
theatres and a wide variety of shopping
opportunities. Scone Palace in Perth, home
of the Stone of Destiny, is also well worth
a visit. In Muthill itself is a good
pub/restaurant, post office and shop.

as well as its own 150 yards of loch
frontage, where free fishing is available.
Stylishly furnished within, it offers all
modern facilities in an unrivalled setting,
ideal for family groups or couples wishing
to enjoy this beautiful area. Loch Tay
itself is the largest loch in Perthshire,
with a shingle beach at Kenmore at the east
end offering stunning views down the length
of the loch. Water sports, clay pigeon
shooting and pleasure cruises are available
from the Croft na Caber Centre (a
reconstruction of an Iron Age stilt dwelling
built over the water), which is well worth a
visit. The Tay is one of the finest angling
rivers with Kenmore hosting a traditional
ceremony each January to mark the opening of
the salmon season. Ample walking and
climbing opportunities are available in the
area - for the energetic, Ben Lawers
(Perthshire’s highest mountain) can be
attempted. The nearby village of Fearnan
sits at one end of the Tummel Forest Park
and leads to Fortingall, home of the oldest
living thing in Europe, the Fortingall Yew.
At the far end of the loch is Killin and the
Falls of Dochart, and a superb drive from
here to the Bridge of Balgie leads to the
top of Glen Lyon, the longest in Scotland.
Aberfeldy (approx 12 miles) has a good
choice of shops and restaurants and has a
sports centre and indoor swimming-pool. Golf
is widely available throughout the region as
well as horse riding, quad biking,
bird-watching and cycling.
