• We have split our locations in England into multiple pages because one page with locations in England took too long to open

• When you click the name of the location you will set in process a procedure that selects cottages around that location as you are transferred to our Cottages Website. This may take a few seconds depending on the speed of your internet connection.

• When our Cottages Website opens you will be presented with a list of cottages that may number anywhere between 25 and three hundred depending on the location you have chosen.

• When our Cottages Website opens you can increase or decrease the area covered by changing the default settings and clicking the Search button using the procedure as shown in the photo shot below.

• You may find that  for some small country villages or some locations in remote areas the 25 mile radius is not very precise. If you do find cottages brought back that are well away from the area you selected please email us and we will check it out immediately. These links have been QA'd but there is  always the possibility of error and we would be grateful if you do find an error that you bring it to our notice.

• Bear in mind also that the 25 mile radius will extend across water, so some locations in the Isle of Wight may bring back some cottages on the mainland.

• We are adding additional locations to these pages on an ongoing basis. We have a lot more for England and Scotland and will be adding Wales and Ireland.

•  Your will find most links in the pages of English locations take you to Wikipedia pages. Click here for Wikipedia home page. We chose Wikipedia because it doesn't contain advertising but does contain a rich depth of information and is constantly evolving.

If the location  you are looking for is not listed please email us at   info@explorethecountry.com   and we will add it to our list Click here if you need help with your booking   The pages of cottages displayed will contain reference to "Approx X miles to" as in this photo shot where it says "Approx 0.6 miles to". This tells you the distance that this cottages is away from the location you selected.   Please Note: Before you proceed to book your cottage it is always a good idea to confirm that the location of a cottage is to your satisfaction by using the link 'Find this property on a map' located on the property details page on our Cottages Website . We have checked each of these locations by hand and although the settings for the position of the cottages are correct you may find the location of the odd cottage near a very small village is not within the 25 mile radius. If the small village you are looking for is not listed, or you find the cottages brought back are not close enough to your location click here to display a map then identify an adjacent town or village and select that town or village from this index.
