We offer free help to
locate your cottage; simply drop us an email
addressed to
customer.support@explorethecountry.com with the number of people you want the
cottage to sleep, the start date, stay
duration (2, 3, or 4 days (short stays), or
one or two weeks), the location you would
like and any other requirements including
your maximum budget, and we will
send you an email giving you direct access
to a page we create just for you on our
website with clickable links to cottages we
find that most closely meet your
requirements. Generally we will get back to
you within 12 hours; occasionally due to the
popularity of this service it may be 3 or 4
days before we can come back with a list of
cottages.
If we know your budget
we can be more precise with the cottages we
list for you to consider.

We maintain our website
explorethecountry.com from New Zealand - but don't
let that worry you - in fact we believe our
experience exploring the UK and staying in many of
the very cottages we are promoting enables us to
offer a service you would have difficulty to find
elsewhere.

My wife and I have been visiting the
UK frequently since 1980 with the
most recent being in May/June 2007
when we stayed in four cottages
located in Middleham in North
Yorkshire, Padstow in Cornwall,
Banbury on the outskirts of the
Cotswolds and the town of Rye, East
Sussex.

We also spent
time with our colleagues at
Cottages4you head office in
Lancashire and gained a lot of
valuable information that will help
us develop our website to make it
more useful for people both within
the UK and from overseas seeking
that special cottage holiday.
Our next visit is planned for
December 2007/January 2008.

This last visit we took more than 1,200
photographs of the UK covering 3,000 miles
from the Lake District in the North to
Cornwall in the South and will be adding
many of these to our collections of
photographs of the UK in the future.

When we arrived at head
office in Earby, Lancashire recently to spend
a day with our colleagues at
cottages4you we discovered their car
park full of what seemed to be 100's
of cars.
As we searched for a parking
space we noticed
one space available close to the
entrance to the building which we
decided to grab due to the
difficulty finding a place to park.
To our surprise they had allocated
this space to us with this sign.

that fall during a public holiday may only be
made within 28 days of the public holiday.
Bookings for 7 or 14 days where the stay dates
include a public holiday may be made at any
time.

times of Cottage occupancy
cannot be made until 28 days
prior to the Start Date of your
stay.
June, July, August, and early
September are classed as peak
times. The schools go back at
different times depending on the
area. That is why its such a

may be made for a duration
of 2, 3, 4, 7, or 14 days
(some cottage owners may
choose not to offer the full
range). Stays for 2, 3, and
4 nights are regarded as
short stays. Stays of up to
one month may be available

Most weekly bookings
run from Saturday to
Saturday, unless the
property indicates
otherwise.
Where
accepted, 2 night breaks
start on a Friday or
Saturday, 3 night breaks on
a Friday and 4 night midweek
