Generally Google Maps, Satellite Views, and Road route maps accessed from this website are centred on locations based on the postcode of the property.  Whilst we take every care to check that the postcode of the property is correctly entered into the instruction passed to Google, we do not guarantee that every property is correctly identified. We say this because we have identified one property where the pointer in the satellite view pointed to a property 25 yards away from the cottage that it should have pointed to. Others that we have carefully checked do indeed point directly at the cottage and it is only one that we have been able to identify as being 25 yards out. For this reason we say on our pages that the satellite view is to give viewers an idea of the type of country surrounding the cottage, its proximity to the beach, a river, or even a busy motorway. We believe that this information is valuable to people booking cottages.   

Some Google maps in our website may purposely point to a village where they are not referenced by a postcode. You can identify if a map or view is based on a postcode because the postcode will be in the narration attached to the pointer.
