Organizing Accommodation

      Accommodation:

  • Locating accommodation online is easy and fun.

  • Self Catering Cottages may be a new experience to visitors from the Southern Hemisphere but self catering cottages are very popular and widely available throughout the UK and Europe. You can deal directly with the owners of a cottage but our experience has been that while you may strike it lucky and get a cottage to your satisfaction you may also get a cottage not up to your expectations. There are a number of  firms specialising in the management of cottages to let and we recommend that you use such a firm. We have used and recommend cottages4you (probably the largest provider in the UK) who regularly inspect and professionally manage all aspects of cottage hire across the UK and Europe. You can book online through our website partnered with cottages4you  by clicking here or phone them directly on their UK phone number: 0845 268 1458.

  • Self Catering Cottages are ideal for stays of 3 days to one week or longer and similar in cost to Bed and Breakfast if you stay for 7 days

  • You will find Self Catering Cottages with photos on our website that show you around the outside and inside of the Cottage. You can also view the bookings to see how popular it is.

  • You can then book and pay online to secure the Cottage of your choice then relax and set your own pace

  • Consider mixing 3 to 7 day stays at Self Catering Cottages with one or two night stops at Bed & Breakfasts.

Select Self Catering Cottages at points central to considerable scope for day trips into the countryside and B&Bs when you want to spend less than three days in one location.

Self Catering Cottages range from the dream stand alone (detached) thatched roof cottage surrounded by the classic English cottage garden to units similar  to motels in Australasia. Our experience has been that having booked online and paid,  it is customary to contact the owners by phone or email a week or so before due date to receive instructions on where to find the key and that is the only contact you may have with the owners. You take possession of the cottage, enjoy your stay then leave the key in the appropriate place on leaving. Truly a home away from home.

You may also like to check out  breaks2go.com our online hotel directory offering quality accommodation at special prices negotiated by Superbreak Mini-Holidays for short breaks, city breaks and weekends away throughout the UK and overseas where you select the hotel and optional add-ons: the best seats at the best shows, concert events, live theatre, tours, rail travel and much more- we list over 5,000 hotels in more than 1,000 destinations worldwide.
