Leicestershire is a beautiful county at the heart of England, within the developing National Forest. The jet engine was invented in Lutterworth, in the south of the County, while Hinckley in the west, was where the hosiery and footwear industries evolved. Ashby-de-la Zouch in the north west of the county, and Market Harborough, in the south east are two very attractive, historical market towns. Melton Mowbray, in the north east, is a rural market town which is famous for Stilton Cheese and Pork Pie.
