Wiltshire has a lot to
offer, from museums, stately homes and gardens to
safari parks and quaint market towns.
The
wide expanses of the Wiltshire Downs contain the
ancient monuments of Stonehenge and The Avebury
stone circle plus numerous white horses which
are carved into hillsides. To the south lies
the magnificent cathedral at Salisbury and in the
north, the quaint villages of Lacock and Castle
Combe. Centrally located the Northern parts of
Wiltshire intrude towards Cotswold country and
Wiltshire is bordered by six different counties:
Gloucestershire to the North, Somerset to the West,
Dorset to the South, Hampshire, Berkshire, and
Oxfordshire to the East. You will find Self Catering
Wiltshire Holiday Cottages in most corners of
Wiltshire. There are also some great village pubs
to try and some fine restaurants. With its rolling
countryside, Wiltshire is also a great place for
walkers and cyclists with plenty to explore en
